When will I get it?

Wow!
Going on 2 years since my last post.
That is ridiculous.
But what is even more ridiculous is that my last post (2 years ago) still applies.
The lastest manifestation of a lesson unlearned is the fact that I was hit by a car on my bicycle recently.
That's right people... this girl on the go found herself on the hood of an elderly gentleman's car, followed by an ambulance, then a cylindrical tube where I recieved my MRI.
The results... I am fine, which is amazing b/c I wasn't wearing a helmet.
How did this all go down?
Well, I assumed that a cross walk meant that on coming traffic had a stop sign.
Obviously, I assumed wrong, not to mentioin the guy that hit me lacked cat like reflexes.
Other than that little shininagan, life is going great.
I thought I did slow down the pace of how I operate, and have felt the positive results... but I guess I haven't slowed down enough.

Currently working on a few really cool projects.
Of course my baby The FEMPIRE, which is looking pretty good.

I think I need to slow down.

I am fed up with me!
Over the past month I have recieved 2 speeding tickets over 90 mph, 8 parking tickets, ran late to all but 2 out of 20 appointments, missed 1 plane flight, missed the beginning to 2 of my best friends weddings, and varous other forms of tardiness that led to racing around like some wack-job with no sense of time or caution.
The weird thing is that no matter how much time I give myslef to be on time, I still run 20 minutes late.
Its stupid and it has to change.

On the TV front... the pilot I shot for WingWoman is in post production.
The premise is that men don't need a wing man they need a wing woman to attractthe ladies.
I am the WingWoman who takes this relationship challenged men under my wing and teach them how to get some ass.
These guys really are hard up and just need the guidance and kick in the ass to get them in the game.
To be honest I have been burned out and not really into TV lately... but the premise of this show is an extension of who I am... I love playing cupid... so I decided to do it.

On the FEMPIRE front, we had our first fashion show last week at a gallery called 111 minna.
We are launching the online magazine in October... so plugging away at that.

Oh Lord!!!

I know it has been forever since I have posted. For a woman with a history at TechTV, you would think I could maintain a blog. But since the link went sour, I have been up to a lot... on both a personal and professional tip. Professionally, I stepped away from actively pursuing TV for a bit to regroup, and focus on an idea, or what my partner and I like to think of as a "cause", called FEMPIRE www.fempire.com.

So what is FEMPIRE? It is a state of mind, a state of being. It is the type of woman that unapologetically goes for her dreams, contributes to the world, and looks fantastic while doing it.

Yes, FEMPIRE it is short for “female empire.” Don’t get your panties in a ruffle… we are not man hating, ball busting women looking to take over the world. Here is what we mean by female empire… A definition for empire is, “an extensive enterprise under a unified authority.” The “authority” in this case is the collective unit of fempresses. At our very core, we are a collective, nothing without the support, inspiration, and passion of each other. We are benevolent rulers spreading the word that you can be a multifaceted woman and exist in totality without apology or explanation. This means not having to question that you are a great mother despite your sexual freakiness, a delicate flower despite your title of CEO, an extremely spiritual person despite your obsession with shoes.

We believe that if people could follow the mantra “own thyself” the world would be less confusing. We spend so much time running from our hurts, fears, and unknowns that we forget who we are. It is hard to live in a purposeful way when you don’t even know who you are. FEMPIRE is dedicated to people’s soul. We are not just making a statement that “women rock”… we are asking for people to take the next step from gender affirmation and turn it into actualization.

We are not reinventing the wheel; we are just putting a new face on this ideal.

We are manifesting this voice first as an online magazine, then moving into apparel, and then into TV.

It has all been really exciting and painstaking at the same time.

I will be much more diligent about the posts... probably will create a separate blog for FEMPIRE, but wanted to introduce you all to the concept personally.

Next post will be about what has been going on personally... as exciting and painstaking as the professional.
